The building you're standing in is known as the Old Long Lake School, or the District 50 school. However, this brick building was preceded by a wooden frame school on the same property. The bell shown here is from the original frame school. Give it a ring, but cover your ears! Children had no excuse not to know when school was in session back in those days.
