Our collection of antique quilts has recently been cleaned and restored by a group of dedicated volunteers. Stored on wooden dowels for 40 years, they were carefully removed, laid flat on a large table, and vacuumed through a fabric screen. After the cleaning, volunteers sewed a large piece of unbleached, unsized muslin by hand to the back of each quilt to provide support. Some quilts were repadded with fiberfill.
